Thank you for visiting our website!
Here you will find information concerning our church and its ministries. We hope you find your time spent here a blessing. Our church is a warm and loving church, and we want you to feel comfortable and at liberty to call on us for anything you need. Feel free to browse through the various areas of our website and learn about our fellowship.
If you are considering a new place of worship or a relocation to our area, we would love to have you be our guest.
We the people of St. Paul are called and empowered by God:
To witness through Christ
To welcome everyone through the Holy Spirit
To worship with joy
To work with God to meet the needs of our community
The St. Paul WELCA Circles hope to see you at their annual joint meeting being held at the Mission Property at 5:00 PM on July 12th. A potluck meal will be provided and just as there will be plenty of food, there will be plenty of smiles and fellowship to share. Please join the women of St. Paul as we gather to “commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action and promote healing and wholeness in the church, society and the world."
Wondering why there is a Christmas tree in the Sanctuary? Most of you know the reason: our annual Christmas in July school supply collection. Although the school sessions ended a few weeks, it is not too late to start thinking about the next school year beginning at the end of August. Many youngsters will begin the year without the basic school supplies like a book bag or paper or writing instruments. As in the past, we will collect a variety of educational tools and distribute them to Maiden, Blackburn and, especially our Forward Together partner Startown Elementary School. This special collection is SO simple. Just pick an “ornament” off the tree, purchase the item on the back and bring your unwrapped “gift” to Church with you and place it under the tree. Or, if you want it even simpler, you can put a cash (or check) donation in the “Schoolhouse” on display near the tree. The money will be used to purchase school items. Our young people will help choose the items to be purchased and, during their April campout at the Mission property, dedicated a portion of the funds collected during our Fat Tuesday breakfast for the purchase of school supplies. Together, we can help all students begin the new school year with all the tools for a successful year. Merry Christmas in July!!
Once again, the St. Paul congregation has answered the call. This time you responded to the need for protein sources for our Agape Day Campers. Your generous contributions exceeded our goal of 150 cans of Vienna sausage or Beanie Weenie. Our young people will deliver the collected food to The Corner Table as part of their service project. And, more importantly, they will really feel the joy of giving to others. Thank you, St. Paul members!
This year's day camp will be Monday July 20 - Friday July 24. This is for all rising 1st - 8th graders. As in years past, St. Paul's is committed to paying full fees for all St. Paul youth who would like to attend. We will also be in need of volunteers for the week. If you can help, please let Pastor Ralph or Barbara Sloop know.
