Our Youth in Education
Our youth are actively involved in a great Sunday School program,
designed to saturate them in learning the great stories of the Bible
and helping them to grow in faith. Some of our Senior Youth help teach
in this program for one month units. We also have a strong Wednesday
Night ministry for children, ages 3-12, where they participate in Bible
teaching, choirs, and activities and crafts. In age appropriate
groups, we lead them in non-traditional ways of learning, helping them
to grow in their understanding, knowledge, and application of their
faith.
Our
Summer Ministries for Youth are strong and vital. We sponsor our youth
to attend camps of all types during the summer. From surfing camp at
Kure Beach Lutheran Retreat
Center , to a week at Hickory Cove Bible Camp, to Confirmation Camp at
Camp Luther Rock, camping ministry is an important part of our faith
development ministry at St. Paul – Startown.
Vacation
Bible School here is a long standing tradition, and attendance is high.
Many of our youth bring friends to our 4 night program of Bible
teaching, music, drama, service, crafts, and fun!
Our Day Camp
ministry, done in conjunction with Agape Outdoor Ministries, is a
highlight of the summer for our young people. Our one week all-day
Camp brings from 65-80 children, first grade through fifth grade,
immerses them in the love of Christ
and in fun, grace-filled ways of learning in a community. Please
e-mail Pastor Chris at pastorchris@stpaulstartown.org for more
information.
