Why read the Bible anymore? Is it still relevant? What does a 3500 year old story have to do with me? These are good questions, and questions that beg an answer. Join me and the members of St. Paul Lutheran Church- Startown, in Newton, NC as we read our way through the entire Bible between now and Easter... as we seek its relevancy to our lives in our culture today. Each day, we will read a portion of the Bible, and I invite you into conversation regarding the stories and events of that day's reading. Together we will seek understanding.. Together we will seek what God is showing us, teaching us... how God seeks to guide us. Each day's reading will take about 45 minutes for an average reader. The reading guide is posted on our website. If you would like, I will email one to you, just ask. Use whatever translation you own or like. I will be using a New International Version as my preferred reading. I also will be listening sometimes to an audio recording called the Bible Experience, on days that I may not have time, or days when I am on the road alot. The format of the blog will be, at least initially, based on each day's readings. I will post the daily readings each day, and begin the conversation. So, come on... What have you got to lose? But just think, what can happen to you, your church, your community... What does God have in mind for you?
