Today's Reading: Proverbs 20 - Ecclesiastes 2
Something to Ponder:
Name something that you know you are foolish about (Proverbs 28:26). How can you change this?
Today's Key Verse:
Even a child is known by his actions,
by whether his conduct is pure and right.
Proverbs 20:11
Encouragement:
"When you have read the Bible, you know it is the word of God, because it is the key to your heart, your own happiness, and your own duty." - Woodrow Wilson
The Lutheran Word for Today:
"Alas, for our poor wisdom! Before we really become wise, we lie down to die. This is why the devil has an easy fight of it. When a man is thirty years old, he still has fleshly follies about him, to say nothing of spiritual follies. At the same time it is surprising that we nonetheless perform such great things in weakness of this kind. But our Lord God is the One who grants us success." Martin Luther - from a collection of Luther's sayings compiled by J Aurifaber.
