Welcome – Staff – Angela Kanipe
 Music DirectorDirector of Music Angela Danley Kanipe grew up in Mount Airy, North Carolina. She attended Pfeiffer University and received her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education and Church Music Administration with a concentration in voice. While there she toured the United States extensively with the Concert Choir and Handbell Choir. After joining the Hickory Public Schools in 1991, she attained her Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Lenoir-Rhyne University. Angela became Hickory Public Schools’ Teacher of the Year in 1993 and then the Catawba County Schools’ Educator of the Year in 1995 after two years at Startown Elementary. She has been at St. Paul for 10 years and teaches piano and voice privately. She and her husband, Chad, have four children, 2 dogs, and numerous chickens. They have homeschooled for 8 years. In her “spare” time she enjoys opera, playing the piano, knitting, archery, fishing, spending time with family and friends, and watching her children play baseball and softball.
